The Village at Meridian

The Village at Meridian is a nice and pleasant community area that has plenty of shops, restaurants, movie theaters, bowling alleys and beautiful outdoor space. It has something for everyone! Enjoy a delicious meal at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, followed by a movie and popcorn at the Village Cinema. If dinner an a movie isn’t your thing, there’s plenty of shops and other activities, including live music in the summer and a small ice skating rink during winter. Plus, ever hour, enjoy a special water show with music. There is also a playground area during the summers for kids to enjoy.

Wahooz Family Fun Zone

If you want to give your kids the ultimate in after school entertainment, Wahooz Family Fun Zone is the best spot. It has plenty of activities to do, both indoors and out. There are two different tracks for go-karts, bumper boats, putt putt golf and a batting cage. Indoors, it has a bowling alley, bumper cars, arcade games, lazer tag, and plenty of other fun activities for both kids and adults. You can also arrange a birthday party for your kid that includes a pizza party and a semi-private party table.

Roaring Springs Waterpark

In the Northwest, lies one of the best water parks in all of Idaho. At Roaring Springs Waterpark, they have a wave pool, lazy river, two family raft rides, bowl slide, racing slide, tube slides, kiddie play area and a 6-story speed slide. Roaring Springs also has four different restaurants so everyone can find something they enjoy. There is also a small gift shop that sells all of the essentials (sunscreen, kids swim suits, goggles, and swim toys). Not to mention that Roaring Springs is also connected to Wahooz Family Fun Zone. They offer a 2-in-1 combo for you and your kids that is available during the summer season.

The Meridian Idaho LDS Temple

From the architecture of the building, to the beautiful grounds, The LDS Meridian Idaho Temple is a must see for those passing through the area. The temple is best visited durring the summer months when the spring and early summer when the flowers are in full bloom and the trees are green with leaves, though the snow covered grounds are also a sight to behold. There are 4 main courtyards, one on each side of the temple with a fountain in the main courtyard. On the west side of the temple you’ll find a beautiful pond with a wrap around path and a miniature flower garden at the far side, a great place for pictures!

Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park

Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park is one of the most famous and popular parks of Meridian city. The park contains several large hills that adds more beauty to this place during the winter season when covered in snow. During the summer it is the perfect spot for kids to enjoy and relax. There is a children’s playground area located in the middle of the park, with two smaller ones by the north edge of the park. Though the lake is too small for boating and not ideal for swimming, it is still a nice addition to capture some beautiful memories. You can still enjoy fishing!



What makes this park great is its peaceful and quiet environment. It is bordered by homes and the grassy hills separate it from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets, while still being a short walk from the Village at Meridian. You can plan a picnic with your kids or simply bring your dog for a walk in the evening.

Attractions Not Far Away

Boise River Greenbelt

The famous Boise River Greenbelt has a 25 miles long scenic path for biking, hiking, walking and jogging. The majority of the greenbelt is located in the heart of Boise, though it does stretch out into parts of Garden City. The scenic views are pleasant and strolling under the tree shades is simply mesmerizing. One of the best greenbelts you will ever walk, It connects several parks and locations and also gives you a walk by the Boise Zoo. Overall, the paths are clean, you can enjoy boating, kayaking and fishing and can even rent electric scooters for elder members of your family so they can also ride around.

Julia Davis Park

With museums, a beautiful park that is a perfect spot for events, playgrounds, a zoo, a tennis court and a lagoon with paddle boats, there’s something for everyone! An absolute must the month of October when trees are changing colors and the the path is covered in fall leaves. The park is covered with fragrant roses and several other colorful flowers that enhances its beauty and ambience. There is also plenty of area to stroll around or for the kids to play and run.
