As a whole, Eagle Island State Park stretches across 545 acres west of Boise and features a popular swimming beach, grassy picnic areas, waterslides and a five-mile-long trail for people who love hiking, biking, or just strolling with their dog.

Another interesting thing about this park is the zip line course, which has six zip lines featuring the state’s first ever quick jumps. This is a parachute simulated leap off of a 60-foot tower.

There is an entrance fee if you are on a car. The waterslide here is open on Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The 9-hole golf course opens in May and till October, whereas the 18-hole disc golf course is open November through April. The course is relatively flat, making it a good course for beginners, but with long enough straights to challenge more seasoned players.
